TSYS

TSYS is one of the largest card processors in North America, and NX Restaurant supports it as a processing backend. If your merchant account runs on TSYS, you can keep it and process cards through NX.

Setup is handled by an NX Support Partner, who takes the details from the VAR sheet your processor provides and configures a merchant account in NX with TSYS as its backend engine. Once that account is active, card payments run through your NX readers like any other transaction.

NX follows a pre-authorization and capture workflow, which is how tabs stay open and tips get adjusted before the card is finally charged. At close, NX sends the completed batch to TSYS, and your merchant provider handles settlement and funding on its usual schedule, typically within one to two business days.
